The alternative is gas. It will be “the” energy source in the next 10 to 15 years.
16 million houses need to be heated. Only gas can do this instead of heating oil.
Thank goodness gas is available everywhere.
Well-developed natural gas pipelines and liquefied petroleum gas are available everywhere, if you are not connected to the gas grid! We installed a liquefied petroleum gas tank in the ground at a friend’s house. It was easy and fun.
The gas tank is rented (2700 l) and costs about 10.50 € per month. But we don’t have to worry about maintenance and it’s easy to organise.
Incidentally, the commitment to the gas supply nowadays only lasts a few years and thus an overpriced dependency is ruled out.
We hired the mini excavator for a day to dig out the pit for the tank in front of the house. Men’s toys. 😊
